Originating from South America, Tradescantia’s are popular houseplants due to their easy going nature and colourful foliage which brightens up any room as a hanging or trailing indoor plan. It will sometimes flower tiny little white blooms which is how the plant gets its nickname Moses-in-the-cradle. The blossoms look like babies being cradled in the boat-like leaves.
LIGHT: Bright, Indirect light to dappled sun. Will survive in lower light levels but its leaves may fade and flowering may reduce.
WATER: Light weekly watering, allowing the plant's soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. Prefers increased levels of humidity but will tolerate normal conditions.
FEED: In spring and summer, give it a feed with liquid fertilizer.
